I graduated from John Moores University, Liverpool, UK, in 1991 with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages (German / Russian).
Having graduated in Liverpool, I then studied as a postgraduate at Manchester University, UK, where I received a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), in 1993, which certificate qualifies me to be employed by the British Education Ministry as a teacher in state schools.
In 1996 I was awarded a Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA).
I have been working since 1994 at language schools in Moscow, e.g. BKC, Polyglot, Globus International.
I have taught all ages and at all levels of English.
Since 2006 I have been teaching business English to both individuals and groups in-house at international companies, e.g. Philip Morris, UniCredit Bank, Independent Media, Nycomed, Deutsche Bank, and Price Waterhouse Cooper, BP, TNK-BP, Moscow Stock Exchange, KPMG, MSD Pharmaceuticals.
I have been married to a Russian citizen for 20 years and we have three children, the eldest of whom having started his higher education in the capital in September, 2017; my two younger children still attend a state secondary school in the Taganskiy district of Moscow, where my family and I live.
