(To avoid confusion: my lessons usually take place at a location in Moscow chosen by my clients or online.)
I am a native English speaker born in Canterbury, Kent. Both my parents are English teachers, so I have spoken English at home all my life. My family moved to Russia fairly early, meaning that I am bilingual and familiar with Russian exams and textbooks, as well as the education system in general: I got 98 points for my EGE.I am currently in my 3rd year studying linguistics at MSU (FFLAS), where I will eventually get a teaching degree. In July 2022, I also became an internationally qualified teacher after doing Cambridge’s CELTA course at International House London. The certificate hasn’t reached Russia yet due to reasons beyond my control, but I am prepared to show you documentation proving my successful participation to remove any possible doubts.
My current students chose me to improve their overall level, school grades and conversational skills, but I am confident I could help you with OGE/EGE as well. While I prefer to use native textbooks, Russian ones are an option if absolutely necessary. It is worth mentioning that I use communicative teaching, which gives students more talk time and makes their learning experience more enjoyable and engaging.
